Time to Write!

This morning there was frost on my windshield. Instead of filling me with dread, I had a feeling that things would begin to happen. When cold weather comes, my instinct is to hunker down and work at my desk. In the two weeks since my youngest son started seventh grade, I have made and completed quite a few lists. The quiet of the house inspires me to make every minute count. I have been writing and sending out class proposals for winter/spring dates.

What does the cold weather inspire in you? Now that the summer distractions have left, are you back to your writing desk?

If you  need a jump start to get you writing again, I have two classes coming up in the next weeks. On September 23rd and 24th, I will be teaching  at Pine Needle Quilting Company in Pine City. Our hostess, Carolyn Tuckner, still has rooms available for Friday night. The group will be small, so it will be a great opportunity to learn and get feedback on your writing. You can find information on my website or comment on this post and I’ll e-mail it to you. Please share the information with your writing friends.

On Saturday, October 1, I will be at the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis with my most popular class, Finding Your Story. It is almost full, so if you are interested in signing up, do so soon. You can find information on the class at www.loft.org.

Don’t let the shorter days of fall pass by without working on your writing project.
